AJA 12G-AMA Overview

The AJA 12G-AMA is a compact analog audio embedder/disembedder designed to work with 12G-SDI input and output, supporting video formats up to UHD 4K60 and DCI 4K60. It features an integrated SFP slot, allowing optional fiber I/O upgrades using modules such as the AJA FIBERLC-TR-12G, compatible with single-mode fiber and LC or ST connectors.

The unit includes a 25-pin port and comes with an XLR breakout cable that enables 4 channels of XLR audio input and output. Audio disembedding is always active, while embedding can be configured to pass through the original SDI audio or replace it with analog input—channel pairs can be selected by the user. Additionally, analog input levels can be adjusted.

Configuration is managed via USB using the free AJA Mini-Config software for Mac and PC, available on AJA’s website.
