AJA Bridge NDI Overview

The Bridge NDI 3G Converter from AJA provides high-capacity 3G-SDI to NDI and NDI to 3G-SDI conversion in a compact 1 RU form. Designed to fit into your existing SDI or NDI workflow, this plug-and-play converter is ideal for broadcast, security, sports, entertainment, and other AV applications.

All Encoding Modes

Accepts up to 16 incoming HD video signals via 3G-SDI and applies NDI encoding to each channel, enabling up to 16 individual HD NDI channels to be output via 10 GigE.

The same 16 channels of 3G-SDI can also be used to enable:

• Eight dual-channel video and key groups to NDI outputs
• Four quad or dual-channel DCI 4K/UHD 4K groups to NDI outputs

When configured for encoding all incoming SDI inputs to NDI outputs, supports:

Simultaneous 3G-SDI inputs:

• 16 x simultaneous channels up to 60p YCbCr 4:2:2 10-bit

Simultaneous encoding for individual 1080p channels:

• 16 x simultaneous channels up to 60p

Simultaneous encoding for 1080p video and key pairs:

• 8 x simultaneous channels up to 60p

Simultaneous encoding for DCI 4K/UHD 4K groups:

• 4 x simultaneous channels up to 60p

Supported encoded output via 10 GigE:

• NDI UYVY, 4:2:2, 8-bit, or P216, 4:2:2, 16-bit

All Decoding Modes

Decodes all incoming NDI signals input via the 10 GigE ports directly to the SDI outputs.

Decodes up to 16 x NDI or NDI HX inputs to uncompressed HD video for output via 16x 3G-SDI outputs.

Decodes up to 8 x NDI streams and an alpha channel for conversion and output as 8 x dual 3G-SDI HD video and key channels.

When decoding up to 4x 4K/UltraHD NDI streams, the 16 x connections can support either square division or 2SI for SDI output.
