The Gefen Dual Link DVI to Mini DisplayPort Converter works with all Mac and PC computers that have a Mini DisplayPort. It supports dual-link DVI graphics with resolutions up to 2560×1600.

This plug-and-play device allows viewing of DVI video through a Mini DisplayPort connection with audio support. It can also connect to standard DisplayPort monitors using a passive Mini DisplayPort-to-DisplayPort cable. Audio input is handled via a built-in 3.5mm jack, with both video and audio transmitted over the Mini DisplayPort interface. An EDID switch on the unit enables manual selection between three modes: 2560×1600, 2560×1440, or pass-through. Power is supplied by the included USB cable.

Advanced EDID Management

The front-panel EDID switch allows easy toggling between 2560×1600, 2560×1440 (native resolution for Apple 27" iMac and Cinema Display), or pass-through mode to ensure smooth compatibility.

Audio Conversion

A 3.5mm audio input lets you combine sound with the DVI video signal, transmitting both through the Mini DisplayPort. Since Mini DisplayPort supports audio and video, no separate audio cable is necessary.

Supported Resolutions

Supports resolutions up to 2560×1600, with the option to switch to 2560×1440 specifically for Apple 27" displays.

USB Powered

The unit is powered via USB, removing the need for an additional power adapter and simplifying setup.
