With Thunderbolt 3 connectivity, you can achieve blazing-fast read speeds up to 2800 MB/s and write speeds up to 2450 MB/s. A second Thunderbolt 3 USB Type-C port is available for daisy chaining additional Thunderbolt 3 devices.

Flexible RAID Options

Preconfigured in RAID 0, this array also supports RAID 1, 4, 5, and 10 configurations. Its plug-and-play functionality and rugged ballistic hard-shell case ensure easy transport and setup, while the included AC adapter provides consistent power. Preformatted for Mac use, it's compatible with macOS 10.13 and later. Windows 10, Windows Server 2016, and later versions are also supported via SoftRAID for Windows. Note that RAID 4 and 10 are currently supported only on macOS.

System Compatibility

For optimal performance and compatibility, it is recommended that your system runs macOS 13.5 or later.

OS Requirements

The OWC 16TB ThunderBlade Thunderbolt 3 RAID Array is compatible with macOS 10.13 or later, and Windows 10 or later. A Thunderbolt 3 port is required for use. RAID 4 and RAID 10 configurations are supported only on macOS at this time. The drive is preformatted for macOS and can be configured for PC use through SoftRAID for Windows.
