The OWC Express 2.5" Portable USB 3.0 Enclosure Kit for SATA HDDs & SSDs is designed to house a separately sold SATA III 6 Gb/s, SATA II 3 Gb/s, or SATA I 1.5 Gb/s hard drive or solid-state drive, allowing you to store and carry your music, photos, and personal data wherever you go. Simply insert a 2.5" drive up to 9.5mm in height into the ventilated enclosure to create a portable hard drive. This device supports USB 3.0 connectivity and is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1.

Included in the Kit

The Express 2.5" Portable USB 3.0 Enclosure Kit includes a USB 3.0 cable and a carrying sleeve, and is compatible with systems running Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.

Compatibility

Please note that USB bus power is only compatible when using a USB 3.0 or 2.0 connection, and SSDs are supported only via USB 3.0.
